Passport validity when preparing a Kenya eTA

Current official application guidance asks for a passport valid for at least six months after the planned arrival date, with at least one blank page. Confirm the live rule before applying.

Count from your planned arrival

Check the passport expiry date against the date you plan to enter Kenya, not simply the date you begin the application. Travel dates can change, so recheck if your itinerary moves.

Make the passport page usable

Use a clear, complete image of the requested passport page. KenyaEntry can check basic upload properties for its own workflow, but the official system remains responsible for passport and document acceptance.

If your passport changes

A renewed, replaced or lost passport can change important application details. Do not assume an authorisation connected to an old document remains usable; consult the official channel for the current process.
