What to do when a Kenya eTA payment does not work

First identify which payment you were trying to make. A Government of Kenya eTA payment and KenyaEntry's optional assistance payment are separate transactions handled by different services.

Identify the payment before taking action

If the problem occurred on the official government service, use the official status and contact channels. KenyaEntry cannot view, repair or confirm a payment made in a government account.

If the problem occurred in KenyaEntry, sign in to your KenyaEntry account and use the support route connected to your application. Do not send card information by email.

Check for evidence before trying again

Look for a provider confirmation, a bank authorisation and the status shown in the service where you paid. A screen error does not by itself prove that no payment was recorded.

Do not make repeated attempts merely because a page timed out. Use the relevant provider or service support channel to avoid accidental duplicate activity.

Keep both fees separate

KenyaEntry charges USD 40 for optional assistance. The standard USD 30 government eTA fee is paid separately through the official government route, and KenyaEntry collects USD 0 of that government fee.

KenyaEntry cannot guarantee that the official service will accept a card, reverse a pending authorisation or approve an eTA.
