Kenya eTA information
Kenya entry requirements: plan the journey clearly
Most visitors need an approved electronic travel authorisation before travelling to Kenya, subject to official exemptions. Start here to understand the official route, prepare the information commonly requested and decide whether independent assistance is useful.
Start with the official position
The Kenyan Directorate of Immigration Services operates the eTA process. Eligibility, exemptions, document acceptance and the final decision remain government matters. Check the official channel for the rules that apply to your nationality and journey.
KenyaEntry is an independent private assistance service. It does not issue an eTA, represent the Government of Kenya or guarantee approval.
Prepare the core journey information
For a tourism journey, prepare a passport that meets the current official validity guidance, a clear applicant photo, contact information, arrival and departure details, and accommodation information. Conditional evidence may be requested according to citizenship, residence or travel purpose.
Use the requirements, documents and photo guides below as preparation aids. The official application remains the source of truth when a live instruction differs.
Keep the two payment roles separate
KenyaEntry charges USD 40 for its optional assistance service. The standard Government of Kenya eTA fee is currently listed as USD 30 and is paid separately through the official government route. KenyaEntry collects USD 0 of that government fee.
You may apply directly through the official government channel without buying KenyaEntry assistance.
