Kenya eTA processing time: plan with care
Apply well before travel and avoid treating any published timeframe as a promise. KenyaEntry cannot guarantee a government decision date.
Published government guidance
The current Directorate of Immigration Services delivery charter lists three days for a standard eTA service. This is official service guidance, not a guaranteed individual processing deadline.
Additional checks, incomplete information or a request for more documents can affect the time needed for a case.
What KenyaEntry can update
KenyaEntry customers can see KenyaEntry service progress in their authenticated dashboard. That is different from an official government status, which may be unavailable or outside KenyaEntry's control.
If you have already applied
If you submitted an application elsewhere, KenyaEntry can offer independent follow-up assistance. Follow-up does not mean KenyaEntry has government-system access, influence or an ability to expedite a decision.
