Kenya eTA fees, explained clearly

Government eTA charges

Official Kenyan sources reviewed on 14 August 2026 list a USD 30 standard eTA fee and a USD 20 transit eTA fee, excluding payment charges. Government fees may change, so check the official source before travel.

KenyaEntry does not set, collect on behalf of, or control government fee rules.

KenyaEntry assistance

KenyaEntry's assistance fee is USD 40 per traveller for the current standard, transit and existing-application follow-up services. It covers KenyaEntry's independent assistance, not a government decision or approval.

The assistance and published government eTA fees together are USD 70 for standard applications and USD 60 for transit, before payment charges and any required insurance. These are not all-inclusive travel costs. Existing-application follow-up costs USD 40 for assistance, with no new government eTA fee collected through this service.

Before you pay

The checkout review shows each component separately before any payment step. Government fees already paid elsewhere may not be recoverable. KenyaEntry's refund treatment depends on the applicable policy, work completed and the circumstances of the request.

Inbound travel health insurance

Kenya’s mandatory inbound travel health insurance requirement is now in effect. Check the official eTA/eCitizen process for the requirements that apply to your nationality, travel dates and stay. Keep your policy reference and cover dates available.

Insurance charges, where applicable, are separate from KenyaEntry assistance and government eTA fees. Check the official quote before paying; do not assume an existing overseas policy is accepted.
