Travel document and trip details

Prepare the details from your travel document carefully, along with planned arrival and departure information. Check that names, dates and other details are consistent with your travel arrangements.

Official requirements can change or be conditional, so a complete application may need information that is specific to your trip.

Stay and contact information

Have your accommodation or host details and reliable contact details ready where they are relevant to your journey. If something changes, use the appropriate official or KenyaEntry customer channel rather than relying on an old copy of an application.

Supporting information

Additional documents or information may be requested. A request is not a decision; respond accurately, securely and through the authenticated customer portal where KenyaEntry asks you to upload information.

Inbound travel health insurance

Kenya’s mandatory inbound travel health insurance requirement is now in effect. Check the official eTA/eCitizen process for the requirements that apply to your nationality, travel dates and stay. Keep your policy reference and cover dates available.

Insurance charges, where applicable, are separate from KenyaEntry assistance and government eTA fees. Check the official quote before paying; do not assume an existing overseas policy is accepted.
